Crandon Park is located at 4000 Crandon Blvd. in Key Biscayne. Take the South Beach entrance and drive up to the guard booth, where you will pay a $5 entrance fee. At the end of the street, turn Right and head all the way down until you see the children’s playground area. Most visitors enter though the North Beach entrance, so this area is quiet and has ample parking, even on weekends. The park is open every day from 8 am until Sunset.

Once you have parked, walk past the children’s playground toward the beach. Crandon Beach has consistently been ranked one of the Top 10 Beaches in the U.S. This is not surprising, given its brilliant blue water, and wide, clean beach dotted with healthy palm trees. A large sand bar just offshore creates the perfect conditions for kids. The lagoon-style beach has minimal wave activity, so water is calm enough for the younger ones. And a large sandbar located just offshore creates a “deserted island” for older ones to swim to.

Lifeguards are positioned throughout the 2-mile beach area. They are on duty from 9:15 am to 4:45 pm during November through March, and 9:15 am to 6:45 pm during April through October. Cabanas are available to rent for $20 per day.
