When you exit the Barnacle, turn to the right and walk along Main Highway until you come to The Heart of the Grove - a small art gallery where you can browse and buy gifts. Continue on to the corner where Main Highway intersects with Grand Avenue and McFarlane Road. At this intersection you’ll find Ritchie Swimwear, in case you need something new to wear to the beach tomorrow. Start heading down McFarlane Road until you come to Peacock Park. Here you will find a playground for kids, the new Grove Skatepark swarmed by teens on skateboards, and a large grassy field that leads to the bridge and bay. This area was the site of South Florida’s first hotel – the Bay View Inn - built in 1882. Just across from the park is the Coconut Grove Sailing Club.
