It costs only 25 cents to ride the South Beach Local Shuttle. It comes through every 10-15 minutes and has many stops along Washington Avenue and other streets. Or, try Swoop Miami, an electric golf cart that offers free rides anywhere in South Beach.
Explore the Art Deco Buildings
South Beach is full of amazing Art Deco hotels and other marvels like Casa Casuarina, the former home and murder site of designer Gianni Versace.

Go to a Beach, Park, or Garden
If people-watching is your thing, you will find a flurry of activity and all types of people to observe at Lummus Park Beach.
South Pointe Park is a great place for going to the beach, having a picnic, tossing a ball around, or bringing your dog for a walk (leash required). The park has a children's playground and splash fountain.
Miami Beach Botanical Garden has free admission. Don't miss this quiet and lovely 4 1/2 acres in the heart of South Beach. The Garden features a variety of plants including orchids, bromeliads, and a huge collection of subtropical palms.
Visit a Museum or Art Gallery
Our listing of Free Museum Days includes a few South Beach selections. The Holocaust Memorial is always free. And the Wolfsonian-FIU Art Museum, and Jewish Museum of Florida both offer free admission one day per week.
Also, most of the Art Galleries in Miami Beach always offer free admission, including ArtCenter South Florida, Britto Central, and more.

More Free Fun
The Lincoln Road Farmer's Market is a nice place to explore, and they sometimes have special events or entertainment. It is held every Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.
