If you are looking for a standard pizza, Archies is not the place to go. They serve very creative gourmet pizzas, with toppings like arugula, brie, chorizo or calamari. The grilled vegetable pizza is divine, with grilled portobello mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini and red peppers. Besides pizzas, they also have a large selection of appetizers, salads, pasta, lasagnas, calzones, and more all with the same creativity given to their pizzas.
Of course, this means that Archies is going to be more expensive that your standard pizza place. Pastas and pizza that serve one person will run you $13 or more, while appetizers and salads are around $9.
The atmosphere at the Brickell location is very inviting and relaxing, with an upscale sports-bar motif. There is a row of high-def TV screens all tuned to different channels, which I found very distracting. The service is fairly quick and friendly. And the casual environment makes it suitable for young children as well. Kids who arent interested in the fancy ingredients can have a plain cheese pizza for about $9.
