About the Historic Tours of Miami offered by the Historical Museum of Southern Florida

There are plenty of options if you want to take a Miami guided tour, but the historic tours of Miami offered by the Historical Museum of Southern Florida are something very special. Not only can you sightsee and take in Miami’s beauty, but you can also hear about the history of those beautiful locations at the same time. The HMSF historic tours are led by Dr. Paul George, a historian who has received international acclaim for his incredible knowledge of the people and places that have made Miami what it is today. They also have several Eco-tours, which are led by naturalist Frank Schena.

The HMSF tours cover a wide range of interests, from the most well-known spots and people to the lesser-known. Tour types include Coach Tours, Eco Coach Tours, Boat Tours, Walking Tours, and Eco Walks. Special cruises are also held on occasion, to places like Key West, the Bahamas, and Jamaica. Private tours are available upon request.

Their best tour, as voted by readers of Miami New Times, is the Stiltsville, Cape Florida Lighthouse & Key Biscayne Boat Tour. Their most popular tour is the Mystery, Mayhem & Vice Crime Coach Tour.
