Guide Review - Review of Sushi Siam
Sushi Siam is a high-end restaurant serving Japanese and Thai dishes at four locations in Miami. This review is of the Key Biscayne location, though you will find the same menu and approximately the same service at all locations.Their sushi is always fresh and well-prepared. My favorite is the Dragon Roll made with Shrimp tempura and topped with beautifully-layered thin slices of avocado and just the right amount of a tangy yet sweet sauce. Ive had the Dragon Roll at several sushi places and Siams is the best. I also love the Hot JB roll a fried salmon and cream cheese roll. My husband loves the raw sashimi, which is always fresh and offers a great variety. Besides sushi, they also offer a large selection of Thai dishes. Ive liked everything Ive tried there, with the exception of the green papaya salad.
A recent expansion made the interior much more attractive, as it was a bit stuffy before. However, I always prefer to sit outside on the patio as long as the weather and mosquitoes are not too hostile. The service is a bit slow and subdued, but they do get your order right.
The only real down-side to Sushi Siam is the price. Ive found that the bill is usually about $10 more per person there than at my other favorite sushi places Origin Asian Bistro and Lan Pan Asian Cafe. If their prices were lower, it would probably be my favorite restaurant.
